'The Seasons - A Book For Children' pair (The Farmer / The Woodman - illustrated by Tunnicliffe)
Book Description
A pair of books from Cambridge University's 'The Seasons' books for children, all illustrated by C F Tunnicliffe. Published during WW2, these books were serious factual books with the leader 'Children for once will be able to believe everything in a book wholly devoted to their needs'. Unusual to find in their dust wrappers, these copies have some issues. 'The Farmer' has damage and loss to wrapper and signs of damp damage particularly to front margins (not particularly showing to boards which are good). 'The Woodman' is better, with some creasing & chipping to wrapper and a neat gift inscription to inner front board in an otherwise very good book.
Great pair to find...
