Dated March 1939 this is a rare annotated street plan of the town of Sale in Greater Manchester, it appears to have been made up by a W. E. Bingham-Gadd, whose name is stamped on the cover, and was possibly the Borough Engineer & Surveyor, Town Hall Sale bound in green cloth covers, the map is linen backed and divided into sixteen panels, opened measuring 28.5 inches by 21.5 inches approx., folding down to 7 inches by 5.5 inches approx. the map has been annotated with handwritten additions in very good general condition A SCARCE MAP OF SALE THAT APPEARS TO HAVE BEEN SPECIALLY MADE UP FOR THE BOROUGH ENGINEER
