HBM’s (His Britannic Majesty’s) Renown and Durban Visit to Kobe Japan 1922. A Programme of Entertainment. On card and paper size 17 by 12 cm. Eight pages, with four pages of text on the celebration in English and Japanese, diagrams of the floor plan and details of the menu in both languages and a programme of performances. The cover has the flags of both nations and a summary of the event in the presence of Mayor Sakurai at the Shurakkan Theatre. A separate envelope contains 12 photographs of Kobe that were presumably given to the English guests as souvenirs of the visit. The 11 by 8 cm. black and white photos are all in VG condition and appear to be originals rather than commercial prints.
