Scale one mile to the inch. There are two inset maps, one of the Nile Delta and the other of Aboukir Bay or the Bay of Shoals. This inset map has some text beneath the map that gives information on Nelson’s victory over the French fleet. Includes three vignettes of the lighthouse (the Great Pharillon), the ruins of the Library and another view of the smaller lighthouse (the Little Pharillon). Includes a compass rose. An updated edition of Luffman’s map of the 1790s. Has been folded. Good condition.
