The Thomas The Tank Engine series of books were written by the author to amuse his son Christopher during a bout of measles. In this story, the fifth in the series and now quite rare, Henry meets an elephant and a new engine called Percy is introduced.
The book is illustrated throughout.
There is a neat personal dedication and date to the front end paper.
The book is in fine condition. The binding is straight and tight and the boards clean. There is slight shelf wear to both edges of the spine. The end papers and pages are free form marks and tears.
The clipped dust jacket, protected in a clear, removable cover is in fair condition with loss to three of the corners, loss to the top and bottom edges of the front cover, loss to the top and bottom edges of the spine, loss to the top edge of the back cover and nibbling and small nicks to the bottom edge of the back cover.
Will be dispatched carefully wrapped in bubblewrap and a cardboard box.
