Contains chapters on the history of applied art in the 19th century, decoration, furniture old and modern, carpets, mattings, fabrics etc, along with hints to purchasers. Companies whose designs are described include Heals, William Morris, Waring & Gillow, the Guild of Handicraft and Doultons. Occasional foxing to borders and traces of the top right-hand corners of about 25 pp having once been turned or bent. Binding sound with minor wear to head. With these reservations in Good condition for a book that was intended to be used.
