Ardizzone, Edward Paul The Hero of the Fire Porpoise Books 1st edition 1948 Delightful colour illustrations throughout, including on the double spread endpapers, title page and all 40 pages; front endpaper cracked at hinge with some paper adhesion grazes, the following page also cracked at hinge and fixed down at the inner margin at some time, the rest of the contents in very good condition with just occasional small marks. 220 x 180 mm [approx. 8 ¾” x 7 ¼”] pictorial boards; some small marks at edges, spine edges partially cracked, still nice and bright. The matching pictorial dust jacket is rather dust-marked and torn at edges, internally marked where it was reinforced, though still largely complete, and not price clipped.
