Mrs A B Marshall's Cookery Book
Book Description
Mrs Marshall ( 1852-1905) gives her recipe for making cornets, which are to be filled with ice cream or a set custard. This is the earliest known reference in English to ice cream cones. In 1883 she bought the School of Cookery from Felix Lavenue, which then became Marshall's School of Cookery. She created many of the recipes herself and did national demonstration tours to promote her cookery school and books. She is particularly known for her work with ices.
