1st Edition, 12.5 x 19cm blue boards with gilt stamped titles to the spine 182[1]pp in original price clipped jacket designed by William Randell. Signed and inscribed by the author to the title page. Bright unfaded boards with bright titles, there is a little shelfwear and a tiny scratch to the foot of the rear board. Internally the book is clean with just a touch of spotting to the prelims and the edge of the text block. The inscription reads; “ To Michael:/ with the best wishes/ and with considerable/ envy!!/ from/ Harry Patterson/ 13.12.79/ Harrogate” The dust jacket which is now protected in a removable, clear cover (not shown) has light marking and is rubbed to the corners and edges with minimal loss to the bottom corners. Harry Patterson became better known under his pen name, Jack Higgins which he adopted at the very end of the 1960s. All in all an excellent signed 1st Edition copy of this Nick Miller novel.
