In original unclipped dust jacket priced at 21s net. Signed and inscribed by Searle to his friend Wilfred Hanchant curator of the Wisbech Museum, “Wlifred/ with Happy Christmas Wishes/ Ronald/1960”. Clean boards with bright titles and decoration. There is just a touch of bruising to the corners. Internally there is a reference number in pencil from a previous owner on the front pastedown and Searle’s inscription to the front free endpaper. Otherwise the book is clean and bright. The dust jacket is protected in a removable, clear cover (not shown) and is bright and unfaded with just a 1cm tear to the top edge of the front panel and a small ink smudge of less than 1cm on the bottom corner of the front panel. There is a hint of rubbing to the spine tips and corners with minimal loss. A lovely copy.
