                        First edition by the playwright and Shakespeare editor Nicholas Rowe (1674-1718).  Jane Shore was first produced at Drury Lane in February 1714 and ran for 19 nights with Anne Oldfield as Jane Shore, Robert Wilks as Dumont, and Colley Sibber as the Duke of Gloucester.  Modern half calf, spine lettered in gilt.  [viii], 63, [1] pp, first issue with The Heart (page 18, line 3) The Trickling Show'r of Teats (page 19, line 17), and publisher's notice at end of last leaf of text, dated Jan 28 1713-14.
