Book Description

Undated, the British Library date this book to 1900, a book on female beauty and ways to enhance and maintain it, with chapters on the skin and complexion, Cosmetics, The Hair, The Female Figure, Bathing, care of Hands and feet, The teeth, eyes and eyebrows, Manicure, Skin affections, etc. the book is bound in the original pictorial paper covered boards with cloth spine, just under 8.5 inches tall approx., 174 pages. The covers are rubbed and worn at edges with wear and some fraying to the cloth at top of spine, internally book is printed on cheap paper stock which has browned throughout, a partly erased ownership name to front pastedown, the removal has left some surface wear to the paper, a few creased page corners, minor edge tear with no loss to top of second contents page, a few light marks else in good general condition. A very scarce book of which few copies seemed to have survived.
