KOREAN WAR Collection of 23 press photographs and one cartoon. 1951 - 3. Contemporary press photographs, various sizes, but most 8 x 10 inches [200 x 255 mm.] depicting scenes from Korea including from the front, and a single image of the signing of the peace treaty. Each photographed is captioned to verso with a roneoed slip and often with manuscript annotations; stamped with the copyright owner or news agency responsible. The original pen and ink cartoon by an unnamed artist depicts the scene on ‘Hill 235’ also known as Gloster Hill, where the Gloucester Regiment was entirely surrounded by Chines forces in April 1951. Suffering heavy losses, hey eventually surrendered and 459 men were taken prisoner. Notes verso state that it was published DE [presumed to be Daily Express],
