8vo. Second edition. Two volumes in three, 1) xxvii (ii) 357 (1), four plates to rear. 2) xv (i) 496, ten plates to rear. 3) xi (i) 497-772, xliv [iv], 94, (2), four plates to rear. Contemporary or near contemporary half vellum on cloth boards, very clean internally. Lanzi (1732 1810) was a Jesuit Priest who successfully argued that Etruscan was related to Greek, partly making his argument on the basis of the comparison of morphological forms. The first edition came out in 1789 in Rome. This second, Florentine edition appears equally rare.
