FIRST EDITION. 8vo. (7.3 x 5 inches). Four full page mono plates by Frank Craig. A fine clean copy throughout, finely bound in early half dark red calf leather binding. The spine with five raised bands, the compartments decorated with gilt floral centre pieces and lettered in gilt. Marbled paper on boards. All edges gilt. Marbled endpapers. Small booksellers label to the bottom of the front pastedown endpaper. The binding is not signed but is certainly the work of a master bookbinder. A lovely, attractively bound copy of Kipling's classic collection, most famous for containing the great Poem "If"
