Published in London in 1843, this is the First Edition of this account in a series of letters of the authors travels in South America, taking in Argentina, and the cities of Buenos Aires and Goya, also accounts of war and bombardment in Buenos Aires , also Chile, Paraguay, Brazil, Peru, etc, bound in the original cloth, nearly 1000 pages across the three volumes, not illustrated. The cloth bindings are worn at spine ends and wear at corners, some patchy discolouration of cloth, edge bumping, internally light foxing to endpapers,, some creasing to endpapers to volume three, with slight damage to top edge of front endpaper, light creasing within to volumes, else contents in good general condition
