                            Kirk Ireton is a village in Derbyshire 4 miles southwest of Wirksworth, dating back to at least the Bronze Age.
Robert Mellor mentioned in the indenture - There was a Robert Mellor of Iderichaye (Idridgehay today) the next village, born 1520 who married Agnes Maddock of Kirk Ireton.
