Size 22 x 35cm Written in ink on vellum. Latin. Some later pen annotation. Complete with original seal. Protected in sleeve which had a sticker ‘Cotterill Collection’ & ‘1576 Elizabeth I, Quitelain? Kirk Ireton, Wirksworth, Derbyshire’ Worthy of further research.

Kirk Ireton is a village in Derbyshire 4 miles southwest of Wirksworth, dating back to at least the Bronze Age.
Robert Mellor mentioned in the indenture - There was a Robert Mellor of Iderichaye (Idridgehay today) the next village, born 1520 who married Agnes Maddock of Kirk Ireton.
