A copy of an unusual children's book from the 1950s, 'Jalopy the Taxi-cab Cat' by Louise Cochrane and illustrated by Elizabeth Jackson. A first edition from 1957, the book is only in fair condition, with worn covers and splits to the base of the internal 'flaps' which are inside the covers. The inner boards are also foxed, although internally the books looks well, with just some rusting around internal staples (see photos). Very charming tale and illustrations.
