Brown cloth boards with gilt lettering to spine. Bookplate from Kenn Back (1942-, Meteorologist for the British Antarctic Survey and descendant of the Arctic explorer Captain George Back). Boards are marked/faded and generally a little grubby. The front joint has split leaving the front board loose. Slight bumping to corners. Spine is intact albeit with some bumping to the ends. Mild foxing to the page edges. Some foxing to endpages. Textblock is in a good, clean condition. 798 pp. A bright copy. Additional photos are available upon request.
