Ashingtonia was a bi-monthly journal, based on the reference collection of succulents at Holly Gate, extending its work to the research botanist and serious student, the amateur and the connoisseur. Volume 1 has 12 issues, July 1973 to May 1975. Volume 2 has 10 issues, July 1975 to May/June 1977. The journal is illustrated with colour photo's. and with botanical drawings and distribution maps. The two volumes, together with the 56 page botanical index & species catalogue for cactaceae, are bound in black cloth with gilt lettering to the spine.
