The souvenir rose was one of a series printed by C. Adler’s Printing Establishment in Hamburg. The rose folds into a two-sided bouquet of flowers, and opens out into a doily-shaped gallery of engraved scenes and views of Montevideo. The images include public buildings (theatre, university, churches) and views of the city.
