A Century, Not Out a cricketing tale
Book Description
A brand new copy of the first impression written by Yours Truly. As a bookseller, I've sold a lot of books but this is the first time I've written one! A novella/short story. The official book launch was on September 29th, 2021.
Publisher's description: It was meant to be just a nice day out with a practical purpose. A family had decided that this was the day to go and maintain their father's memorial bench in a small village church yard in the heart of south Yorkshire. The weather was glorious, sky larks were singing, and a cricket match provided the backdrop to the idyllic summer scene. As the match got into full swing, a passing interest in cricket was to transform into one of the most memorable days in the life of one member of the family. A day which was to change the way he perceived his own life and how the very nature of our understanding of the relationship between the living and those who have passed on is perceived. The book is rich in imagery and colourful Yorkshire dialect and is sure to appeal to fans of cricket, proud Yorkshiremen and anyone who loves their father. If all three of these are you then you’ve scored a triple century! Never stop chasing your dreams as sometimes they do come true!
Sure to become a classic!
