WALLS OF ARAN
Book Description
Irish - born painter SEAN SCULLY has made many visit to the Aran Islands off the west coast of Ireland, as have many writers & painters before him. For him the hundreds of ancient dry-stone walls that criss-cross Aran offer far more than simply land barriers but more architectural shapes & sculptures that echo his abstract style of paintings. As evident from the illustrations he is also an accomplished photographer. The Introduction is by the award-winning Irish writer COLM TOIBIN.
