Book Description

14.5 x 20.5 cm. Isaiah Berlin to Mrs. [Vera] Magyar. Headed with Berlin's Headington, Oxford address, this letter refers to receipt of a copy of Telos, a journal sent by Vera Magyar, erstwhile Oxford Art Historian, and offers a candid critical opinion from its author.
Dealer Notes
Telos was a journal of the 'New Left' engaged with the critical theory of the Frankfurt School and with Jürgen Habermaas on its editorial board. The edition of the journal in question may be that of Summer 1979 in which Habermaas's body of work was under scrutiny.
