                        Seventh edition 'brought down to the present year.' HB. Black leather spine and corners over purple textured cloth boards (ripple pattern,) with gilt title on purple leather label to spine, and gilt decorative bands. Red speckled edges.  272pp, 18 x 11 cm.  With folding map at front: b&w engraved 'New plan of Edinburgh' ; and 17 engravings in plates.  Spine bright, binding tight, some scuffs to leather, light rubbing to cloth and a few small marks. Pages generally clean through foxed and browned in places and a few smudge handling marks; map tanned and foxed (mostly to back), with small tear to fold, engravings very good.
