The introduction is by Charles Welsh, who has inscribed this copy recto free front end paper as a presentation copy to C. Kegan Paul of publishing house fame. There are later owners inscriptions on the half title. Half calf with much rubbed marbled boards, there is a repaired vertical split to the spine, scattered foxing throughout
