                        Volume One only. 8vo, 491pp, folding map. Full leather that has been re-backed. Edges worn particularly the corners, contemporary ink mss note on the reverse of the title page, foxed but still an attractive copy. Volume I contains three books : Book 1 - A General View of their Ancient State and Inhabitants. Book 2 - Jamaica. Book 3 - English Charaibean Islands. There is also an appendix of exotic plants in the garden of the late Hinton East. Edwards was a Jamaican planter and politician.
