Teg. 10.25ins x 7.75ins, viii, 448pp text plus frontis, 7 maps (most coloured) and one plate as required. Chapter headings include The Laws and Courts of the Forest, The Wild Deer, The Woods and wood rights in the forest, pasture and pannage rights, inclosures in the forest, how the wastes were disafforested and made places of recreation. Previous owners signature to top of front free endpaper. Bookplate to front pastedown. Front hinge cracked with some webbing showing. Corners rubbed.  Despite these defects it is a good clean copy of a fairly scarce work.
