The Fairy Caravan
Book Description
Reprint, a fine copy in a fine dust jacket. Just before publication of the Fairy Caravan (1929) an American boy called Henry P. Coolidge visited Beatrix Potter at Hilltop, her Lakeland home. He was given a guided tour and shown some of her artwork and portfolios, which greatly impressed him. Beatrix Potter later dedicated the book to 'Henry P'. In July 1991 'Henry P' returned to Hilltop to revisit his childhood journey, and signed this copy as a gift to one of the staff who was working there at the time. The photograph of the Gentleman in question is loosely inserted
