8vo. (7.2 x 5.1 inches). Reprint of an edition that was originally published in 1894, with notes and an index. Beautifully illustrated throughout with over 100 fine engravings by Heighway. A few light spots to the blank endpapers but overall a nice clean copy in a fine contemporary leather binding of full tree calf. Spine with raised bands each decorated with gilt piping. Compartments double ruled and decorated in gilt. Burgundy morocco title label, ruled and lettered in gilt. Double ruled gilt border on boards. Front board with gilt stamped arms of the Queen Elizabeth School in Cranbrook. Board edges with decorative gilt tooling. All edges marbled. Marbled endpapers. School prize label on the front pastedown endpaper. A lovely copy.
