THE CLASSIC FAIRY TALE CINDERELLA
Book Description
This is a rare pair of hand coloured engravings done by Henry Richter in 1799 illustrating two scenes from the classic Fairy Tale Cinderella, here named Cinderilla.
The first is titled, Cinderilla, or The Little Glass Slipper. When she had done her work she used to go into the Chimney Corner and sit down among the cinders, which made them call her Cinderilla
and the second is titled, The Little Glass Slipper. Cinderilla laughed to herself when she saw her Slipper and the gentleman consenting to let her try it, it went on with ease and fitted exactly to the great astonishment and vexation of her sisters
Both are Drawn & Engraved by Henry Richter, and Published February 1799
The engravings measure 28cm by 29cm approx.
