THE CC LAND EXHIBITION 'PIERRE BONNARD - THE COLOUR OF MEMORY'
Book Description
Pierre Bonnard helped to transform painting in the first half of the 20th century. As a painter he preferred to work from memory -
imaginatively capturing the spirit of a moment & expressing it through his unique handling of colour & unconventional choice of composition. This book which accompanied a major exhibition at the Tate Gallery focusses on Bonnard's work from 1912, when colour became a prime concern until his death in 1947. As such it charts his transition from great colourist to modernist master.
Includes the Exhibition Guide (23 Jan - 6 May 2019) as a separate item inside the book.
