Hardback. xx, 266pp. Beautiful book in attractive binding with over 250 illustrations by Thomas Bourdelin and others including 1 colour plates and 11 black and white plates, the rest being charming integral engraved images of perfumery accoutrements or contextual scenes (of Paris or the Far East, etc). Bound in cloth with elaborate gilt decoration to front and spine. Hint of wear to tips of corners and some softening to spine ends. Scratch to back. A little faded to cloth but gilt is bright. A fascinating book, hard to find in this condition.
