Undated, published circa 1852, this is a scarce individual part issue from “The Baronial and Ecclesiastical Antiquities of Scotland” by Robert William Billings, Bound in the original printed wrappers, this part is on Melrose Abbey. Internally the contents are loosely inserted for binding and contains six pages of text, followed by eight tissue guarded steel engraved plates of Melrose Abbey. Very Scarce in the individual part issues. Published for the author by W. Blackwood and Sons The covers are worn and marked, and are split along the spine edge, internally some browning to page edges, and light foxing to the plates, else in good general condition.
