Book Description
                        The First UK printing published by Macmillan and Co., London in 1926. The BOOK is in Very Good++ condition. Original burgundy cloth with gilt titling. Light pushing at the spine end with a few light age related markings to the cloth. Top-stain still vibrant . A hint of rubbing at the corner tips. Slight toning and spotting to the text-block. Mild offsetting to the end-papers with light toning to the page edges. Free from inscriptions. The scarce WRAPPER is complete and is in Very Good condition. Mild edge-wear with a little loss at the upper spine. Moderate toning to the edges and spine but the red lettering to the spine is just about legible. The price to the spine has been penned out with with a revised '3/6' price. The wrapper is protected in a removable Brodart archival cover. Nicolson's 5th major book, is a biography of the poet and novelist Algernon Charles Swinburne (1837-1909) published in the 'English Men of Letters Series'.
