Book Description
                        two books from the English Men of Letters series (edited by John Morley) which have been bound together in an attractive leather binding for the University of Oxford Extension Lectures & presented by the Delegates for Local Lectures in 1903 to the author Elsie Kathleen Seth-Smith in connection with a course of 12 lectures on 'Some Aspects of Shakespeare' delivered by A. M. Hughes at Caterham Valley from September 1902 to March 1903. Bound in full calf leather with, to spine, five raised bands, gilt titles to black panel & gilt floral design to other sections. To covers blind-stamped outer border stopped at corners with gilt flower design & to front cover gilt Oxford University Coat of Arms within oval gilt double border enclosing the words 'Oxford University Extension Lectures'. Gilt tooled board edges &  blind-tooled gauffered inner edges. Marbled end-papers.
