Seriatim – Paintings, Places and Asides
Book Description
‘Seriatim – Paintings, Places and Asides’ ~ by Rigby Graham, also Illustrated and Signed by Rigby Graham; pub by The Brewhouse Press 1978; no 22 of limited edition of 28 copies. The book is bound in Morocco leather with coloured inlays on spine and front cover and with coloured front and back endpapers, and has to be a splendid example of the superb quality of Trevor Hickman’s binding prowess; front, bottom and side edges are in gold and with top and bottom silk bands; book is in a decorated slipcase which is covered in the same decorated paper as the endpapers of the book. 6” x 8 ¼”, c382pp, numerous colour & b&w illustrations with several colour plates tipped in. The spine of the book is just slightly discoloured compared to the front and back cover; otherwise both slipcase and book are in mint condition. The book is obviously very scarce as there doesn’t appear to be any copies sold for many years – according to a Google search I did; also there seems to be a scarcity of information available on the book other than it being mentioned in an article by Julian Stribling on Rigby Graham noting several of his books some years ago.
