A superb copy finely bound by Cretault and signed by Walter Spindler, artist of some of Sarah Bernhardt's more famous portraits. All three were friends and possibly more.
Three quarter green leather with marbled inlay and endpapers. Gold lettering and five raised bands to the spine.
The second of the Les Trois Villes trilogy.
