Paul B. Mann was a British illustrator. He is known for illustrating 3 books in the picture puffin series amongst many other works of which this is in a similar style and pastel colour palette. We are unsure if this poster image was used elsewhere but it is a striking image probably produced for schools. Undated but the 3 picture puffins were all issued in the late 1940's.
