PERMANENT WAY Vol.1 The Story of the Kenya & Uganda Railway ; Vol.2 The Story of the Tanganyika Railway
Book Description
Although these histories can be regarded as independent volumes they were published over a period of 10 years as a pair, giving a comprehensive account of the formation & development of both railway networks in East Africa. Both volumes are well illustrated, with Vol.2 including a batch of fine images of locomotives at the end. It is unusual to find a pair in such good condition along with the dust wrappers. Various newspaper cuttings relevant to the histories are loosely inserted inside the covers.
