The acts give an excellent insight into the preoccupations of the government at that time, for example prohibiting supplying to the natives of alcohol or opium, regulating land, wrecks, forbidding removal of natives from their own districts, adoption of the laws of Queensland to Papua New Guinea, to regulate the prisons, to provide for an armed constabulary, and so on. Clean examples throughout, each year usually divided by a blue sheet of paper.
