                        First edition. Secker and Warburg. 1968. 255pp. Original gilt lettered pink cloth, in the original unclipped dust wrapper. Dust wrapper with minor wear to edges, and discoloured to rear of dust wrapper.  A collection of ten stories set in Wales. A nice copy.
Emyr Humphreys (1919-2020) Welsh novelist, poet and writer.  He was described by the poet R. S. Thomas as 'the supreme interpreter of Welsh life'.  In his writings he explores the themes of Welsh identity.
