                            This catalogue for the publisher Richard Bentley includes, at the top of p. 20, a notice for Richard King’s Narrative of a Journey to the Shores of the Arctic Ocean in 1833, 1834, & 1835; under the Command of Captain Back, R.N., priced at 12 shillings. Other books advertised include Lamartine’s Pilgrimage to the Holy Land, Syria, &c.; Ruschenberger’s A Voyage round the World; James Baillie Frasier’s Residence of the Persian Princes in London; and Laird and Oldfield’s Narrative of the Last Expedition into Central Africa. Other works featuring are Captain Sir John Ross’s Memoirs and Correspondence of Admiral Lord de Saumarez. The catalogue also lists works of fiction, including a forthcoming three-volume novel by Charles Dickens, simply referred to as “A New Work of Fiction” (p. 7); it also features details of the Dickens-edited Memoirs of Joseph Grimaldi, the Clown (p. 28).
