More Windrush Rhymes. Copy inscribed to Dorothy Buxton, joint founder of Save the Children Fund
Book Description
                        1st edition, private printing of verses, Inscribed by the author to Dorothy Buxton,  joint founder together with her sister, Eglantyne Jebb, of the Save The Children Fund.  Together with an autograph letter (pinned to free front end paper) signed from the author to Dorothy Buxton.  An interesting association copy in slightly sunned cloth, a little scattered foxing.  There is a pencilled marginal note, probably by Dorothy Buxton, commenting on some lines of verse and dated 1946. Save the Children was founded in the 1919 as an effort to alleviate starvation of children in Germany and Austria-Hungary during the Allied blockade of Germany of World War I which continued after the Armistice.
