                        Scarce.  Numerous illustrations from photographs to the text, plus some sketch maps and plans, original cloth-backed printed boards, minor marks.  A very nice copy of this scarce first and only edition which covers Crum's service in the Boer War.  He went on to serve with the 8th KRRC (K1) on the Western Front 1915-16.  In May 1916 he founded the Sniping School at Acq, succeeding in establishing a standard syllabus for all of the Armies schools and writing the first official pamphlet on the subject.  Brown cloth and cream card boards with black lettering to front.  Boards are generally in good order, just a little grubby.  Slight bumping to corners.  Spine has mild  bumping to ends.  Mild foxing to the page edges.  Text block is a little tanned, but generally clean.  359 pp.  Additional photos are available upon request.
