This well-known title concerning Count Grammont's Memoirs assumes a far greater interest in that it derived from Hugh Walpole's personal library at Brackenburn in Keswick and carries his bookplate on the inside cover. The book also includes 'The Personal History of Charles incl. the King's own account of his escape & preservation after the battle of Worcester, as dictated to Pepys' and 'The Boscobel Tracts or contemporary narratives of His Majsty's adventures, from the murder of his father to the Restoration'.
