Uncommon. Red cloth with gilt lettering to spine. Boards are marked and generally grubby. Corners bumped. Edgewear, especially along the spine edges where the cloth is splitting. Spine is age darkened with bumping to ends. Rough cut page edges. Front inner hinge is cracked, but holding. B/w frontispiece with tissue protection intact. 9 plates, 5 maps, one tissue protection is detached. Previous owner's bookplate (Major W H Dick-Cunyngham, Deputy Assistant Adjutant-General, Lucknow). Previous owner's mark to ffep, one in pen(Clive Coates), and Dick Cunyngham in pencil dated 1895. Additional photos are available upon request.
