                            VOLUME 1 (Vermuyden, Myddleton, Metcalf, Brindley et al) - 5th thousand, 1862, 484pp, frontispiece of Myddleton, engravings in the text; VOLUME II (Smeaton, Rennie & Telford) - 5th thousand, 1862, 502pp, frontispiece of Smeaton, engravings in the text; VOLUME III (George & Robert Stephenson) - 1862, first edition, 512pp, frontispiece of George Stephenson, engravings in the text; Lives of Boulton and Watt, 1865, first edition, 521pp, frontispiece of James Watt, engravings in text; each bound in tan half leather boards, spines with five raised bands and decorations. Contents in excellent, tight condition, the boards are a little marked, a little light scuffing to the spines. The first three volumes are dated 1862 and are the first issue as a three volume set, the volume on Boulton & Watt was not published until 1865 and is also a first edition.
