FOUR LARGE FOLIO VOLUMES. (17.7 x 12.6 inches). Illustrated with circa 450 full page plates, of which 324 are chromolithographs in colour, with 10 missing (including 8 chromos). Some damp stains to the first leaves, mostly just the text pages, in first volume and the first few gatherings are loose in third volume, but the vast majority of the plates are in very good, bright and clean condition. Rubbed and worn early quarter morocco bindings with marbled paper on the boards. A rare and substantial collection from this important record of the decorative tastes of the mid 19th century with beautifully executed colour and mono plates.
