                        Folio. First edition. Limited edition of 300 copies of which this is number 45. Signed by John Piper on the limitation page. Original marbled cloth binding by Smith Settle. Gilt to spine. Printed on French rag paper at Westerham Press. Illustrated throughout in colour and black and white. Spine faded and with a tiny split to the cloth at the foot. A short scratch to the back board. Contents clean and fresh. Near fine.

                            ‘Mr. Piper may go where he likes in the house and grounds, and is not to be molested’! The artist’s responses to Stowe are reproduced in a magnificent production.
